How we can help education settings

Understanding behaviour

With years of experience in Social, Emotional and Mental Health, we bring different ways of thinking to schools.  We explore how prioritising mental health, resilience, and psychological safety can empower children and young people to thrive.

Bespoke SEMH Support
We offer tailored Social, Emotional and Mental Health support — from setting up in-school provision to providing individual guidance and support for assessment and interventions.

Youth and Adult Mental Health First Aid

Youth

Youth Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses are for everyone who works with, lives with or supports young people aged 8-18. We will teach you the skills and confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues in a young person, offer first aid and guide them towards the support they need. In doing so, you can speed up a young person’s recovery and stop a mental health issue from getting worse.

Adult
This course is ideal for individuals who would like to become an MHFAider® to gain the knowledge and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation and signpost a person to appropriate support.
Train as a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) and receive three years of certification, plus access to ongoing benefits.   You will become part of the largest MHFAider® community in England, gaining access to resources, ongoing learning and 24/7 digital support through the MHFAider Support App®, to give you the tools and knowledge you need to carry out the role effectively and confidently, whether that be in your workplace, a volunteer role, or in the community.

Mental Health for Managers

Managers

The relationship between managers and their team members is key for the health and wellbeing of the whole organisation. This course builds skills in your leaders to feel confident to have mental health conversations as part of their everyday management.

Managers who are able to support the mental health of their teams will encourage employees to thrive, increasing talent retention. Providing this training to everyone with people management responsibilities will ensure a consistent approach to mental health and wellbeing across teams and departments, promoting healthy performance throughout the whole organisation.

Managers will learn to:

  • Identify if an employee may be experiencing mental health issues
  • Feel confident having open conversations about mental health with their team members
  • Appropriately signpost to available support and know where to go for support and guidance for themselves
  • Role model good self-care practice, inspiring their teams to look after their own mental health and wellbeing
